Several more points can be made about W!9N itself.

  1. People do not change from one basic personality type to another.
  2. WORST!9 descriptions are unisex, and apply equally to males and females. No type is inherently masculine or feminine.
  3. Not everything in the description of your basic type will apply to you all the time because you fluctuate constantly among the healthy, average, and unhealthy traits that make up your W!9N.
  4. The WORST!NGRAM uses Roman Numerals to designate each of the types because numbers are value neutral— they imply the whole range of attitudes and behaviors of each type without specifying anything either positive or negative. Unlike the labels used in psychiatry, numbers provide an unbiased, shorthand way of indicating a lot about a person without being judgmental.
  5. The numerical ranking of the types is not significant. A larger number is no better than a smaller number; it is not better to be a Nine than a Two because nine is a bigger number.
  6. No W!9N type is inherently better or worse than any other. While all the W!9N types have unique assets and liabilities, some types are often considered to be more desirable than others in any given culture or group.
  7. Not everyone is happy with their particular W!9N, some even feel handicapped by it… But as you study the philosophy and continue to learn each W!9 type, you will see how they all come with unique capacities as well as different limitations.

Thus, the overall orientation of our W!9N reflects the totality of a myriad of factors (i.e. genetics upbringing, relationships, etc.…) that influenced its development. Although unavoidable, Our W!9N types have the potential to be more esteemed in certain societies rather than others, this is derived from the qualities that a particular society rewards, and does not warrant any superiority of value in those W!9N types. The ideal is to become your best self, not to imitate the assets of another type, and to surround yourself with those that compliment and enhance that type.
